VentureKit publishes free guides to help entrepreneurs get things done.
As a founder, I’ve felt how hard it is to find quality, actionable startup advice. Advice today is often too abstract, untrusted, expensive, or bloated.
I want to provide free, detailed, actionable, and trusted startup advice from domain experts. I want to offer the guides and tools that I wish I had as a founder. It’s a hard goal but I think it’s an important one.
My name is Mark Goldenson and I am a four-time founder living in Silicon Valley. I most recently founded Breakthrough, an online therapy service that signed over 30 health insurers and covered 10 million people before being acquired. I also co-founded:
PlayCafe, an online game show network
Woosh, a builder of small business websites acquired by HP
Stanford Bazaar, a campus marketplace acquired by Stanford
The Stanford Squash team, now coached by former world champion Mark Talbott
I worked as a product manager at PayPal, researched lucid dreaming in the Stanford Psychophysiology Lab, and finished coursework for a bachelor’s in human biology from Stanford (and dropped out twice for startups :)).
